The Safeco Insurance® Agent Giving Program supports and honors the civic engagement of Safeco agents and recognizes and celebrates individuals and nonprofit organizations that make a difference in their communities.

In 2012, the Agent Giving Program will provide donations to qualifying organizations through Community Hero Awards and Make More Happen Awards.

All recipients of a Community Hero Award will be featured in a "Vote for your Favorite Safeco® Community Hero" event, which provides an additional donation to the charities supported by the top two heroes with the most votes.

To be considered for a Community Hero Award, Safeco agents are encouraged to nominate local "heroes" and the qualifying nonprofit organizations they support.

To be considered for a Make More Happen Award, Safeco agents are to submit a photo and caption of themselves or members of their agencies doing more for a qualifying nonprofit organization through volunteering.

The top award recipients will be featured in a vote-off, which will provide additional donations to the nonprofits supported by the agencies in the photos receiving the most votes.
