Agent-Directed Grants

We know Safeco agents find many meaningful ways to positively engage in the communities where they live and work. To honor this community involvement, we have dedicated funds to support nonprofit organizations where Safeco agents contribute human and financial resources.

To maximize the impact of our giving dollars, Safeco provides grants to nonprofit organizations that support and enrich inclusive communities and work within the following four focus areas:

Arts and Culture

What Matters to Us?  Enriching human spirit and community.

We will support established and emerging programs that reach and engage diverse audiences, contribute to cultural knowledge, and advance collective creative endeavors.
 
Economic Inclusion

What Matters to Us?  Powering the success of all people.

We support opportunities for individuals of all identities to participate in and contribute to the economic life of the community.

Youth Enrichment

What Matters to Us?  The potential and promise of young people.

We will support programs that foster creativity, enhance courage and thoughtful risk-taking, advance perseverance and discipline as strategies for success, and support the emotional intelligence and compassion of young people.

Environmental Stewardship

What Matters to Us?  Sustainability. Community. Engagement.

We support projects that create sustainable public spaces connecting individuals and communities, and programs that engage all people in collective action for environmental stewardship.

Agent-Directed Sponsorships

We dearly wish we could award a grant to every nonprofit organization our agents nominate. Sadly, we can't. However, we do accept sponsorship requests from our agents concerning events hosted by nonprofit organizations working within our focus areas.

Like with our agent-directed grants, we ask that sponsorship requests concern nonprofits our agents contribute human and financial resources to - as volunteers, board members, or annual donors, for example.
